Women Welfare Trust is in Association with NABARD, Ministry of Textile (Handicrafts) and Other Government Allied organizations organizes lot of programmes every year. More number of people is benefitted.
Women Welfare Trust though it has a maximum number of programmes some of those the minimal range of programme taken very crucial role.
We are proud to say that with our sincere and continuous efforts we are trying to bring social, economic change among rural women, small & marginal farmers and rural poor. We take this opportunity to convey our hearty thanks to our Board Members, Staff team, NABARD, Agriculture department, Bankers for their noble support to our organisation. Also we thank to our beloved target group people for their participation and contribution in our works. We hope that we will continue our dedicated services to our core target groups with commitment and involvement in the future also.
There are 3 LEDP training programme has been organized during the year with the support of NABARD by Women Welfare Trust (WWT). The programme was inaugurated on 26.09.2019 by Shri. Mathiyalzhan DDM, NABARD, Ramanathapuram at Women Welfare Trust Training Centre, Paramakudi. The inaugural address was given by Shri. K. Kalyani, Managing Trustee, Women Welfare Trust. During this speech the DDM advised the trainees to attend the programme without absent and also explain about the benefits of LEDP scheme. He told that WWT will conduct the follow up activities until the trainees should ensure there sustain livelihood and income sources in Hand Embroidery and Zharthosi Trade. The follow up activities will be conducted upto one year completion of Training. The three batches were conducted during 1st batch from 26.09.2019 – 17.10.2019, 2nd batch from 24.10.2019 – 12.11.2019 & 3rd batch from 25.11.2019 – 11.12.2019. Exposure visits were conducted 1st batch on 22.10.2019, 2nd batch on 15.11.2019 & 3rd batch on 04.02.2020. These programmes were completed successfully and no trainee was dropout from the programme.
Women Welfare Trust has successfully completed the 3 batches of LEDP trainings to 90 women beneficiaries in 3 batches on Sea shell handicraft products. After completion of the trainees the follow up activities are undertaken as3 batches mentioned below:

Women Welfare Trust is a registered NGO working for the downtrodden society for more than two decades. There are so many SUCCESSIVE PROGRAMMES were implemented for the last few years with the Generous Support of NABARD, Ramanathapuram District. Production and Marketing of new and Innovative Palm Jaggery and Palm based Handicrafts were sanctioned by NABARD and the programme is executed in Kuppanivalasai. The trainees motivated to get the suitable opportunities in Palm Jaggery and Palm based Handicrafts products making and or self employment opportunities. To start a self employment by supporting financial agencies on the basis of entrepreneurial development. At the end of training, the participants felt energized since the topics covered were useful them. The Participants first of such kind of training that they have undergone. A formal valedictory has been arranged and the president of WWT expressed her gratitude for all the participants. The training ended with vote of thanks to the participants and to the hosting organization by the DDM of NABARD, Ramanathapuram.
We express our sincere thanks to NABARD for providing an opportunity for implementing NABARD CAT Programme on “Training and Exposure visit on Familiarization of improved cultivation technologies of Cotton to the farmers in Paramakudi block”. We have successfully completed the programme along with. This programme was conducted for 3 days viz. 10th, 11th & 13th May 2019. The class room theoretical training was conducted in WWT Training Hall, Paramakudi on first two days. On 3rd day the participants were taken for an Exposure visit to Cotton Research centre, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar district. 30 farmers who are cultivating cotton by traditional methods and are willing to continue the cotton cultivation using new and improved cultivation technologies. The programme was started at 10.00AM with prayer. All the participants introduced themselves. Our Resource Person Mr. Sivakumar, CEO, Mallankinaru Farmers producers Company, Viruthunagar explained Current traditional cultivation methods of cotton and importance of application of new and improved technologies.
Environmental Awareness programme on Vermi composting – organic Farming was organized on 09.07.2021 at Agriculture College, Madurai. The farmers were bringing to the integrated farm to visit the Vermi compost unit. The purpose of the training explains about, Vermi composting in organic farming. Organic farming is one of the traditional and well growing farming structures. Vermi compost making is one of the methods and used as natural fertilizer to strengthen the soil and make the yielding healthily. About 60 women farmers participated and benefitted in the programme.
The basic objective of the farmer awareness programmes was to give exposure to the farmers on various agricultural marketing reforms, modern marketing methods, direct marketing, group marketing, interface with the experts of commodities specialist and marketing personnel, ware housing, pledge financing and scientific storage of agricultural commodities in our area and to upgrade their skilled on the subject. Climate Awareness Campaigns showcase innovative ways in which farmers adapting their practices to become more and more climate smart. Inter-cropping, multiple cropping, and crop rotation are some of the practices that the farmers are using to fight climate change. About 50 women farmers participated and benefitted in the programme.
Women Welfare Trust is organizes Village Level programme(VLP)supported by NABARD. The programme was held on 07-12-2022 at Ulaganathapuram Village. The women welfare schemes, Bank Benefits and its important were educated to the parents of the malnutrition children. About 40 mothers participated and benefitted in the programme.
Women Welfare Trust is organizes Health Awareness programme to address the health issue which is occurred in the society. The programme was held on 21-10-2021 at Uchipuli Village. The programme focuses the problem behind health issue and the solution to resolve the issue. The healthy nutrition and its important were educated to the parents of the malnutrition children. About 38 mothers participated and benefitted in the programme.
We reached out to provide Dry Ration supplies for 3 Months to vulnerable families in communities. We work towards building awareness and brining out behavioral change – extend much needed psychosocial and technological support to overcome this crisis. We work towards linking families with State and Centre Sponsored Welfare Schemes and rebuilding the lives through Livelihood assistance.
Women Welfare Trust is having committed expertise and resource persons to deal with various aspects of agriculture and horticulture, including that of Cotton and red chilli cultivation and in case of need, it will hire needed expertise from nearby academic / research institutions like Agricultural College and Research Institutes, Kirishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Department of Agriculture etc.,
Women Welfare Trust has conducted Tailoring Training programme at our WWT Training Centre, Village adolescents, married girls have enrolled their and learned Tailoring trainings right from cuttings, stitching and design of making modern dresses . Each beneficiary regularly attend the training and benefited, of them some women has also run small tailoring unit in respected villages and earning more than income and lead the life very happily. Theory cum practical classes conducted to the students. Every 2 months 30 students were benefitted in each batch totally around 210 more students were trained from our free tailoring centre. Trained beneficiaries could gain little income generation opportunities through the accomplishment of this particular skill. The beneficiaries are selected from Paramakudi Block level villages, Dalit classification got benefited in the program and got placed in meaningful employment and self-enterprising opportunities.
Women Welfare Trust is organizes SHG formation training programme. The programme was held on 08-09-2021 at Women welfare Trust office. We read and hear about Self Help Groups (SHGs) often, Very poor people from SHGs they save very small amounts of money, they also try to solve many of their problems together. The programme focuses to resolve the poor women livelihood activities. About 30 women SHG Members participated and benefitted in the programme.
World Women’s day celebration was organized on 07.03.2022 at Women Welfare Trust office, Paramakudi. The resource person of the programme is Mrs. V.PANDIARADHA– CEO, Sayalkudi Palm FPCL, Sayalkudi, Mrs. A.SANTHOSAMARY- Director, Mugavai FPCL, Mudukulathur, Mrs. K. Kalyani, Managing Director, Women Welfare Trust, Paramakudi were participated in the programme. The resource person of the programme is talks about, the world women’s day the responsibility of the women in active participation in day today work. The Main theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March, focuses on “Women in the Changing World of Work”. Too many women and girls spend too many hours on household responsibilities—typically more than double the time spent by men and boys. They look after younger siblings, older family members, deal with illness in the family and manage the house. In many cases this unequal division of labour is at the expense of women’s and girls’ learning, of paid work, sports, or engagement in civic or community leadership. This shapes the norms of relative disadvantage and advantage, of where women and men are positioned in the economy, of what they are skilled to do and where they will work. About 100 women members participated and benefitted in the programme.
World yoga day celebrated on 22-10-2019 at Women Welfare Trust office Paramakudi. The programme aims to organize the people and create awareness on YOGA and it’s important in day today life. Yoga plays a vital role in long last living with happily. The yoga class has been conducted and various asana were thought to the participants with procedure. Totally 50 more SHG members and FPO directors were participate in the Yoga Awareness programme.
JLGs are essentially credit groups of small/marginal/tenant farmers/asset less poor who do not have proper title of their farmland. These informal groups of 4-10 members are engaged in similar economic activities and are willing to jointly undertake to repay the loans taken by them from the Banks. Financing of JLGs was introduced as a pilot project in 2004-05 by NABARD in 8 States with the support of 13 RRBs. The scheme was later mainstreamed for the banking system in the year 2006. Apart from extending refinance support of 100% to the financing Banks, NABARD also extends financial support for awareness creation and capacity building of all stakeholders under the Scheme. NABARD also extends start up grant support for formation and nurturing of JLGs to Banks and other JLG Promoting Institutions (JLGPIs). NABARD sanction of grant assistance for promotion and credit linkage of 200 JLGs in our Women Welfare Trust. We have formed and credit linked of 200 New JLGs in Mudukulathur and Paramakudi blocks of Ramanathapuram district.
Women Welfare Trust organizes free tuition centres to the poor students and depressed community children. Children education is very important for their prosperous future. Women Welfare Trust provided free Note books, Geometry boxes, and Color sketch pens to poor students in rural area. Rural students need special tuitions in Maths, science, English subjects for scoring high marks so as to enable compete in professional course admissions. So Women Welfare Trust conducted 10 tuitions centre in named Puluthikulam, Killakulam, Ariyakudi, Keelakodumalur, V. Valasai for the above 3 subjects. Each center has minimum strength of 25 Students and Totally around 250 studying in the centres. The students from 5th to 10th classes attended this Evening tuition Centre and scored high marks in their final examinations.
Women Welfare Trust is organized free skill training Programme Employment Training in Basic beautician to the 80 trainees those who belong to the rural background. The trainees are get trained on sewing machine technology with on job training and placement. The skill training is organized at Women Welfare Trust skill training centre – Paramakudi.
NABARD programme is organized by Women Welfare Trust in on 02.02.2022. The programme is held at Women Welfare trust office, Paramakudi. Women Welfare Trust as POPI of 4 Farmers Producer Company Ltd., supported by NABARD. We are maintaining administrative expenses & Member Mobilisation / Awareness cost for 4 companies, certificate of Registration, Register Maintananceand Business Plan prepared for 4 Companies. Conduct board meeting in every month and Training to CEO & Director as per NABARD Instructions.
NABARD vide letter Ref No. NB (TN)/2024/OFDD/RM-25/2019-20 dated 26thDecember 2019 has sanctioned Parambai Farmers Producer Company to set up Rural Mart at Paramakudi Town. Rural Mart was opened and inaugurated on 22-05-2020 by Mr. SADHAN PRABHAKARAN, MLA Of Paramakudi, in the presence of Agri Marketing Officer, Bankers etc. This RM is going on well and trading is conducted profitably for the one month. In the connection FPC has opened the rural mart on 22nd May 2020. On 22nd May 2022 and two years been completed successfully with the esteemed support of NABARD. On this project duration of various Stalls exhibition been showcased, and about 1000 FPC Members following commodity are selling by the rural mart and Products like – Paddy(Rice, Seed, Rice Flour), Chilli( Chilli Seeds, chilli Powders), Groundnuts, Millets(Millet Cookies, Millet Flour, Barnyard millet, Finger millet, pearl millet, Little millet and Seeds, etc..), Black Gram, Palm Jaggery, Pepper, Coffee, Clove, All Pulses, fenugreek, Mustard, Cumin, Anise, Honey, Coriander, Palm Leaf Craft Things, Sea Shell Craft Things, etc….

Of India, Nagercoil, Mr. Vikram Rajah, Empanelled Designer, Mrs. T. Majini, Master Craft Person, were also present during the inauguration along with other officials from H. S.C of Nagercoil. After inauguration they visited Workshop Training and interacted with the participants of the DTDW Programme.
The 30 days DTDW Programme was conducted at Subbudevan Valasai , Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District from 01-07-2021 to 30-07-2021. Women Cluster 30 Artisans of the Adopted Cluster of Palm Leaf Crafts artisans participated in the DTDW Programme.

The Distribution of Free Tool-Kits Programme was conducted at Raja Pushpa Mahal, Rameswaram, Ramanathapuram District from 24-05-2022 to 02-06-2022. 30 Stalls were erected and 30 artisans participated in the Exhibition.
The Exhibition Programme was organized at Paramakudi by office of the development commissioner (H), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India & Hosted by Women welfare trust at Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District from 24-05-2022 to 02-06-2022 as per the sanction order No: C-17011/02/2021-22-CC(SR)-AC-8, DT.11.06.2021.

The Craft Awareness Programme was organized at Ariyakudi by office of the development commissioner (H), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India & Hosted by Women welfare trust at Ariyakudi, Ramanathapuram District from 14-08-2021 to 15-08-2021as per the sanction order No: C-17011/02/2021-22-CC(SR)-AC-9, DT.11.06.2021.
The Craft Awareness Programme was inaugurated by Shri. A.K.Roop Chandar., Asst. Director, H.M & S.E.C Office of The Development Commissioner (H) Ministry Of Textiles, Govt. Of India, Nagercoil, Mr. K. ARUNKUMAR- DISTRICT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, NABARD, RMD, Mr. T. KARTHIKEYAN- LEAD DISTRICT MANAGER, LEAD BANK, RMD, Mr. R. HANUMANTHAN- AUDITOR, MADURAI, were also present during the inauguration along with other officials from H. S.C of Nagercoil. After inauguration they visited Awareness Programme and interacted with the participants of the Craft Awareness Programme.
The Two Days Craft Awareness Programme was conducted at Ariyakudi, Ramanathapuram District from 14-08-2021 to 15-08-2021. Women Cluster 100 Artisans of the Adopted Cluster of Palm Leaf Crafts artisans participated in the Craft Awareness Programme.

Women Welfare Trust is organized CHAUPAL skill training Programme for 60 SHG Members those who belong to the rural background. The trainees are get trained on how to make Palm Leaf craft products and Sea Shell Craft Products with on Skill training for Empowerment, skill up gradation, technical skills, Technological and market Interventions. The skill training is organized at Women Welfare Trust was supported by Ministry of textile (Handicrafts), Handicraft service centre, Nagercoil.
