MISSION

Capacity building of the grassroots for their empowerment and strengthening their own organizations.

Networking the grassroots with the local, district, state , national and global organizations and networks for their rights, privileges and work in solidarity with them for common issues and problems.

Women Welfare Trust (WWT) is a registered Non-Governmental organization under the Indian Trust Act of 1981 in Registration Number: 97/1995, the vision of the Women Welfare Trust (WWT) is to empower the poor and marginalized – transform society. It was initiated by a group of committed social workers and begun to work vigorously for the development and empowerment of needy, poor and poverty stricken people. It is working in the heart beat of the city. Paramakudi is one of major revenue town in Ramanathapuram District.

Tamilnadu state medicinal plants Board:

WWT has organized 812 Women SHGs and 500 JLGs with 14,370 women members and 4 Farmers Producer Companies with 3840 farmers as shareholders with the support of NABARD. We are conducting various trainings and awareness programmes to the women, farmers and youth in Ramanathapuram district. One of them is training and awareness to women And farmers on herbal plants, herbal medicines. We encourage the farmers to plant the medicinal plants in their land to revive and conserve the Medicinal plants like amla, aloe vera, neem, semparuthi, thulasi, adathodaetc. . Also we encourage women to intake herbal medicines for their and their family member’s health issues and problems. About 240 women and 325 Farmers are benefited from these programmes.
